Welcome to the Team: Katy

Jun 18, 2021News & Whatnot

It’s a somewhat-back-to-normal summer in Milwaukee and that means hot weather, festivals, music everywhere and really cool internships!

We’re excited to kick off summer intern season with our newest member of the team, Katy! Katy comes to us heading into her final year as a marketing student at Marquette University, joining as an SEM Intern. She’ll be providing some much-needed help with everything from refining internal process documentation to pushing Transistor’s marketing forward.

Once she’s mastered that, we’ll move on to much more challenging intern stuff, like coordinating coffee orders from six different cafes at once. laughing

It’s now tradition to make new colleagues answer somewhat embarrassing questions that will be attached to their names forever, so here we go. But please definitely take a moment to give Katy a virtual high-five via LinkedIn.

If you could have a super power, what would it be and why?

I would like to fly. It would be cool to see things at a different point of view and to get to places faster.

What’s one hill you’re willing to die on? Maybe an unpopular opinion that you will undoubtedly stand behind.

I wholeheartedly believe that different water brands do not taste the same.

What is one food that you couldn’t live without?

I love potatoes. You can make them in so many different ways and they make the perfect side dish.

What do you love to do when you’re not at work?

One of my favorite things to do is to travel. I love to experience new places and different cultures. I also enjoy spending time outdoors and with my family.

What is the best show on Netflix/TV?

One of my favorite TV shows is One Tree Hill. I think I have rewatched it about 5 times.

If you could travel anywhere tomorrow with no monetary restrictions, where would you go and why?

I would like to go to Italy. They have beautiful sights to see as well as some of the best pizza, pasta, and wine. I don’t think anything could top that.

What excites you the most about working at Transistor?

I’m excited to have the opportunity to learn more about SEO and work with this awesome team.

Is there anything else we should know about Katy?

I love to dance! I grew up as a competitive dancer that was in a technique intensive program. I do it solely just for fun now, but it’s definitely a passion of mine.
